If Purgatory Had A Soundtrack

I had been meaning to post this for a while, and now I finally got around to doing so.  As you may know, the late, great Guru Rasa Von Werder was a long time minister to souls in Purgatory.  Those who have been following her know some pretty famous (and infamous) names among those who she managed to get out of there.  My own personal views on the idea of Purgatory are a bit nuanced, complex, and in some ways still "on the fence", but it is certainly worth noting here nonetheless.

I have long wondered, what would the soundtrack of Purgatory be?  My personal favorite band, Five Finger Death Punch, has written several songs that could very easily fit the bill for that.  The lyrics may not exactly be about Purgatory proper (though the song I.O.U. does explicitly use that word nonetheless), but the earthly struggles (PTSD, war, addiction, regret, etc.) they discuss might as well be.

So here goes, largely in chronological order:

1) Far From Home

2) Wrong Side of Heaven (and the Righteous Side of Hell)

3) The Agony of Regret (instrumental)

4) Cold

5) Digging My Own Grave

6) I Apologize

7) Darkness Settles In

8) Judgement Day

9) I.O.U.

10) The End

And many more as well.  Never forget about the souls in Purgatory!

Is Demarchy (Sortition) A Pathway To Matriarchy By Stealth?

Convo by Pete Jackson and William Bond (2 out of 3 Musketeers), edited for clarity and brevity:

PETE:  Good morning, William.  I thought of another idea recently to get more women in power by stealth.  This would probably only work on the local scale, but as the saying goes, "all politics is local", and "you can't fight CITY Hall".

Enter "Demarchy", also known as "sortition" or "lottocracy" (see Wikipedia article here), where our leaders are selected at random by lottery, much like jury duty.  Ancient Athenians did that, as do the Amish to this day.  Problem is, both are/were extremely patriarchal.  My idea is, do that, at first gender neutral, but very crucially, unlike jury duty, make it OPTIONAL, so if one is selected, they are free to decline it without penalty, and select someone else, and so on.  That way, mostly Women will choose to take the positions, which will be more responsibility but very little added perks compared to not serving, and we all know how most men are congenitally allergic to responsibility, lol.  Men would be far more likely to opt out.  Result will be Women ultimately having more power than men, and the rest will be history, or should I say, HERSTORY.

What do you think?

WILLIAM:  Hi Pete

I have heard of the Demarchy, concept before. I agree that most men are not interested in political power but the problem is with the minority of men who do want political power. These men will do or say anything to gain power and use Machiavelli tactics to do this. Also the weakness of any democratic system is that wealthy men will bribe politicians to do what they want and unfortunately there are women politicians who are just as corrupt as male politicians.

I think the only idea that might work is to have a matriarchal political party, of only women. Who believe in caring for the people they rule. Although I’m sure feminists will be strongly opposed to this and the party has to be strict about stamping out bribery and corruption.

Regards William

PETE:  You are probably correct, William. I will think on this some more.

Thank you for your insights 😊
Pete

(PETE ADDS SOME ALLITERATION:  Alas, as I like to say, Mechanization is no match for the Machiavellian machinations of the moneyed elites.  Most of whom are MEN.)

WILLIAM:  Hi Pete

There is another way to look at this. While I was writing my latest book I was wondering that if God is a woman, then why are we living in a patriarchal society? You would assume that She would ensure that women ruled the world. But if I’m right that the purpose of our planet is for women to teach men how to love. Then She might of thought that perhaps letting men rule the world, might teach men some sense of responsibility. But I don’t think that has worked out.

But perhaps MotherGod is changing her mind about this, as we see with the rise of the Suffragettes and Feminists in the 20th century. So if MotherGod has decided that women should rule the world then that is going to happen.

Regards William

PETE:  Much to think about here, but I think you are right about that, William. Thank you for your excellent insights as usual.

May your last prediction come true soon, Goddess willing!

Rehearsals For Retirement

By Ajax the Great (Pete Jackson)

They say, everything has a season.  In terms of our movement, my own season began in earnest when I first met both the legendary Guru Rasa Von Werder and the great prophet William Bond on Facebook on those fateful days in late 2015, a little over a decade ago. Having first serendipitously discovered their wonderful writings and ideas online a bit earlier in the Spring of 2014, it was truly an exciting experience for me.  It was thus in late 2015 that I essentially joined the Matriarchy movement.  After Rasa was unfairly and unceremoniously kicked off of Facebook in 2016, and then again for the final time in 2017, the three of us had begun communicating extensively via email, I created a new spinoff blog of my own as well, and as they say, the rest is history.

Since then, the three of us have essentially been, as Rasa herself would often call us, "The Three Musketeers".  One for all, and all for one!  We have each contributed, in our own diverse and unique ways, to Rasa and William's shared blog (to which I was ultimately added as a co-author as well), my own blog, Rasa's own "Embodiment of God" site, and of course many, many books as well, from the first serious, full-fledged book to feature all three of us in it to some degree, "Woman Thou Art God:  The New Religion for Women" (written 2019, published for 2020), all the way up to and including her (and thus our) latest magnum opus, "The Religion of Sex: The Kill Switch to Patriarchy" in late 2025.  And we even wrote and at least refurbished several Wikipedia articles as well.  We have thus accomplished far more than I ever predicted we would in the past decade.  In the past couple of years alone, we three have, by the Grace of God as well as Rasa's superhuman capabilities and work ethic, gotten done what would have normally taken at least a decade to accomplish otherwise.

And we have seen recently on Facebook and elsewhere, Matriarchy is trending currently. More and more people are making reels about the topic, it seems.  It's always darkest just before the dawn.

As Associate Professor of the University of Mother God Church, a title that none other than Rasa herself has bestowed on me, I had been, for at least a year now, planning on eventually retiring from my position for a number of reasons, both personal and professional.  I know in my heart of hearts that my season is currently ending in that regard, as my own inner voice and "soul urge" has told me so repeatedly, which I cannot ignore any longer.  The most important work involving my own contributions has already been done.  My original plan was to gradually phase out my work with this movement and retire in 2027 or so.  And now with Rasa having recently passed away, and no clear or confirmed Woman successor yet to be the new leader of the movement (I already knew long ago in my heart of hearts that it cannot be me), I have decided to go ahead and set my intended plan into motion.  The year 2026 was originally intended by Rasa herself to be a relatively "fallow" year for our work anyway, and fallow it shall remain for the rest of the year, during which I shall be semi-retired.  And I have decided that on January 1, 2027, I will be officially fully retired, and will then be Associate Professor Emeritus.  (I will leave it up to the wisdom of William whether or not to promote me to full Professor in the meantime.)

Of course, I will still keep the blog alive to keep her memory alive, and will continue to do some writing here and there from time to time (albeit much less so than in the past), even after I fully retire in 2027.  Which is good, because as a man, the worst thing I could do to our movement is take up too much space and crowd it out.  Eventually, one will see clearly why I just HAD to retire when I did.  One thing I never do is "ghost" anyone unless they really do something to truly deserve it, and no one currently in our movement has ever fit that bill, in case anyone ever reading this feels concerned.  Retired professors of universities the world over have often continued to live full lives overall and, while some seem to have gone quietly into the night, others have often continued to make at least some contributions to their own fields of knowledge, or knowledge in general, to one degree or another well after officially retiring.

Aside from the blogs, both ours and mine, going forward I do not seek to actively or directly manage anything else of hers myself.

And it should go without saying that, if and when Rasa's New Order for Women ever does get officially founded in my lifetime, God willing, I would obviously, as a man, play at most a very bit part if any at all.  Especially as a man who identifies as "spiritual but not religious" (SBNR) who does not fully agree with everything about the Order due to my philosophical, theological, and ideological differences with Rasa, as well as more left-libertarian.  While I still support Matriarchy in general, I personally tend to lean significantly more egalitarian, inclusive, and integrated than Rasa did.  The fate of the Order, and its operations, would be up to Rasa's true successor(s) in that regard, not me.  For the record, I do not seek to join it or manage it, and I will thus resolve to remain on the outside and not interfere in any way, shape, or form.

Ultimately, the fate of the broader movement in general would be up to the younger and future generations, as William has noted years ago.

And finally, don't ever forget that we made history.  Future generations will certainly look back on this moment.  To quote the band Five Finger Death Punch in their song "Brighter Side of Grey":

"So wipe away the tears for me, know that we've made history.  Remember, no one ever really dies."

In the tradition of how Rasa would conclude the vast majority of her articles and blog posts, here are some cute fuzzy kitties and adjacents:

P.S.  The title of this post was the name of a song and album by the late folk singer Phil Ochs (RIP).

P.P.S.  I would be remiss if I didn't give special thanks to Dave, who has served as Rasa's webman for many years.  You are very much appreciated!

Sarah McLachlan -- "Angel"

RIP Guru Rasa Von Werder.  You will be missed.

"Brighter Side of Grey" by Five Finger Death Punch

The best and most relevant lyric in the song:  "So wipe away the tears for me, know that we've made history.  Remember, no one ever really dies."

We certainly have made history, The Three Musketeers!  One for all, and all for one!

"Gone Away" Cover by Five Finger Death Punch

Gone, but never forgotten.  You will be missed, Rasa!
