Theory & Predictions

THEORY

There are several different theories on how Matriarchy would occur, and what it would be like.  I would like to take the time to share my own theory on the matter.

According to author and pundit William Bond, there are two main theories as to the nature of Matriarchy:  the Femdom Theory, and the Feminist Theory.  The first one assumes that women would behave like tyrants or even Nazis upon taking over, and is essentially based entirely on male fantasy.  Hence, it is an inherently androcentric theory.  For a flavor of that argument, see the dystopian pulp fiction novel The Feminists by Parley J. Cooper.  That one can be readily dismissed, as there is really no historical precedent for such a thing and no credible evidence that it will be true in the future.

The second one, the Feminist Theory, which comes from academic women, assumes that when women take over, they will create a perfectly egalitarian society (or nearly so) overall, with neither gender actually dominating in practice.  For a flavor of that argument, see The Chalice and the Blade by Riane Eisler, as well as any of Heide Gottner-Abendroth's work.  That too is a flawed theory, but for a different reason:  it is incomplete.  For example, it fails to answer the question of "what's to stop men from taking over again?", and draws a somewhat false dichotomy between "domination" and "partnership" while essentially ignoring the huge "gray area" in between, as well as implicitly assuming that only one kind of "domination" can exist.

Enter William Bond's theory, which he calls the "Middle Path to Matriarchy".  It lies somewhere on the continuum between the two theories discussed above, leans more towards the direction of the Feminist Theory than the Femdom Theory, and makes a great deal of sense overall.  That said, I feel it is possible to refine it and improve upon it further as well, as it too at times can come to a lacuna as well, especially in terms of the nature vs. nurture question.

My own theory is rather similar to Bond's, but leans even more so towards the Feminist Theory than his does.  It also incorporates the concept of progressive libertarianism into the mix as well as intersectionality, and also refines the nature vs. nurture question.  Additionally, it assumes that the Human Potential Movement has at least some truth to it, namely that both men and women (but especially men) will soon experience a quantum leap in human evolution.  Men will eventually evolve into "Man 2.0", but to do so men must first hit "rock bottom" and surrender to Women, who will then take over and guide all of humanity into the next phase of evolution.  My theory of the new social contract is far more Lockean than Hobbesian, with a bit of Rousseau thrown in for good measure.  Regardless, though, it clearly ain't gonna be us fellas who save the world, as the past 7000 years has shown.

My theory is still a work in progress, however.  Stay tuned.

PREDICTIONS

The broader New Age Movement talks a lot about the Age of Aquarius, and until recently the 2012 phenomenon.  I believe that the Age of Aquarius is actually the coming Age of Woman, and that 2012 was roughly the year that Women essentially crossed the Rubicon.  For the first time in history, women with college degrees now outnumber men with college degrees.  Women are rising while men are falling.  And I believe that it is no coincidence that the New Age Movement is a largely female-dominated movement.

I predict that it will be primarily women of the Millennial generation (those born between 1980-2000) who will be the first to take over, beginning around 2030 in the USA and UK, and 2050 for most of the rest of the world.  The USA would likely be the first country to become Matriarchal for a number of reasons, while Japan will likely be the last major country to do so.  Patriarchy will phase itself out while Matriarchy will phase itself in.  However, as Guru Rasa von Werder has noted before, it will likely be about six generations (up to 200 years) from now for the new system to be fully phased in and for patriarchy to be fully eradicated worldwide, given how the current system has been in place for millennia.  I personally believe that timeline can and should be accelerated, and there is no reason to despair in that regard.  The initial takeover of political power can occur much, much quicker than it would take to fully phase-in the new system.  Whenever I talk about "taking over", that is what I mean.  After that comes the long, gradual process of building a new and much better world in the shell of the old one.

I also predict that capitalism would eventually come to an end as well, as it would eventually have to as it is killing our planet.  Its addiction to growth for the sake of growth is the ideology of the cancer cell, which eventually kills its host.  Capitalism is, after all, a direct result and outgrowth of the demonic patriarchy.  And the best way to humanely euthanize that evil system is through abundance and technology.  And I predict that Women would prefer Scandinavian-style social democracy or democratic socialism (or something in between) as a starting point for the new system that will replace it.  It will be a world of abundance rather than scarcity, and eventually Women may choose to abolish the monetary system altogether in favor of a resource-based economy (a la the Venus Project).  Alternatively, if they decide to keep some sort of monetary system, money would likely be earned by time rather than labor, and there would most likely be a Universal Basic Income Guarantee for all as well.  We would all enjoy mutual benefit and protection.  In other words, Women will create a true utopia that would never be possible with men in charge, since men tend to assume that war and scarcity are inevitable and that creates a self-fulfilling prophecy due to their inability to see beyond that obsolete paradigm of zero-sum thinking and toxic competition.

What better time than now?  VIVE LA FEMME!  VIVE LE DIFFERENCE!
