What Should Our Movement's Flag Be?

Has anyone noticed that Matriarchal symbolism seems to turn up in some of the oddest places one could imagine?  Including, perhaps, even the flag of a Southern "red" state that was once the very seat of the Confederacy, of all places?  Take a look at the flag and seal of the state of Virginia, for example:



Not exactly the best image resolution in the official version, so let's take a look at an alternate version:





Now do you see it?  The victor is clearly a Woman, and the vanquished tyrant is clearly a man.  "Sic Semper Tyrannis" is Latin for, "Thus always to tyrants", and more colloquially translated as, "Death to all tyrants".

So why would such symbolism be present in a "red" state's flag that was first created in a much more patriarchal time in our nation's history?  Because Matriarchy is still in our DNA, that's why.  Thus Matriarchy has still persisted (albeit vestigially) in what Carl Jung calls the "collective unconscious" despite thousands of years of patriarchal terror attempting to snuff it out.  In fact, according to Wikipedia, the design of the Virginia flag was taken from Roman mythology of all places.  And despite Ancient Rome being an extremely patriarchal society, Goddess worship was still a thing, clearly taken from the preceding Matriarchal civilizations that had been supplanted.  Note that we also see similar Roman symbolism in the Statue of Liberty and the personification of Columbia as well.  And the collective unconscious is now waking up.

The modern-day Matriarchy movement needs a flag of our own, as I am not aware that any such flag exists.  And the Virginia state flag provides an excellent model for such a flag, though perhaps with a different word if you catch my drift.

Two Minutes to Midnight

World War III may or may not have begun in earnest just yet, but the risk of it occurring still looms large if the conflicts over in the Middle East region continue to accelerate.  The biggest elephant in the room is not Daesh (ISIL), Iraq, Syria, Iran or any country over in that region--it is the USA and Russia, and to a lesser extent Israel, who combined possess enough nukes to kill at least 8 billion people.  All it will take is one miscommunication and BOOM--it's game over for all of humanity.  And the two primary countries have not exactly been very friendly to each other lately.  Combine that with the threat of climate change, and the World Doomsday Clock, currently set to three minutes to midnight, might as well be set to two.  A certain Iron Maiden song comes to mind.

Meanwhile, rich war profiteers of the mercenary-industrial complex (MIC) are literally making a killing off of it all.  Like the song says, the golden goose is on the loose, and it's never out of season.  Major General Smedley Butler wrote an excellent book about it back in 1935, War Is A Racket, that should be required reading for everyone and would seem to apply a fortiori to our time.  The profiteers/racketeers and their sycophantic lackeys in government keep on pushing for more and more American military involvement in Iraq, Syria, and other countries, when it is clear that America's meddling essentially created Daesh in the first place.  In fact, not only did the 2003 invasion of Iraq pave the way for the current crisis by destabilizing Iraq, but the USA had also been arming various "rebel" groups in Syria in the hopes of toppling Assad.   And many of those "rebels" turned traitor and joined al-Qaeda and what would become Daesh as well.  It is exceedingly likely that the oligarchs did so deliberately in order to further their Machiavellian machinations.  The classic Hegelian dialectic (Problem, Reaction, Solution) in action, basically.  That is their modus operandi, after all.

I've said it before, and I will say it again:  There is really no military solution to this crisis, at least not from the West.  The only real solution is give every Woman over there an AK-47 and tell them to take over their country and mow down anyone who stands in their way. Let Allah sort it out. Problem solved. But of course, the mostly-male powers that be would not be too keen on that idea. After all, they wouldn't want women in THIS country getting any ideas, now would they? 

The most important thing to understand about this crisis, like any other war in history, is that it is 100% caused by MEN.  This is the real face of the demonic patriarchy (the root of the problem) in all its ugliness.  As long as men in general remain in charge, things will only continue to get worse.  Face it fellas, like the once-mighty Romans, we bit off far more than we could ever possibly chew--something we have a rather nasty habit of doing.  And only Women can put an end to this madness for good, God willing.  VIVE LA FEMME!  VIVE LE DIFFERENCE!

The Real Reason Why (Straight) Marriage Is In Decline

For decades, many commentators and pundits (usually conservatives, but even some on the political left as well) have been bemoaning the supposed decline of the institution of marriage and rise of divorce and single motherhood.  The trend is often exaggerated, and in fact divorce rates actually peaked around 1980 and have been declining since after secularly rising for nearly a century, recently reaching a 40-year low.  But it is also true nonetheless that marriage rates have indeed been declining for about half a century while cohabitation rates have been rising dramatically during that time, and the percentage of babies born out of wedlock has increased as well.  Though the latter is basically old news, as most of the increase in the percentage of nonmarital births had already occurred before Dan Quayle got on his self-righteous soapbox about Murphy Brown in the early 1990s.

So why is this happening?  Conservatives nearly always blame feminism and/or the so-called sexual revolution, while progressives tend to blame the economy and economic inequality, but there is one huge factor that both sides tend to overlook.  We need to be brutally honest about this:  men are becoming increasingly redundant thanks to a combination of technology, globalization, outsourcing/offshoring, and oligarchy, and that trend had begun decades ago.  Our labor unions have been torpedoed, many good jobs have been outsourced or automated, and our once-great manufacturing base has been hollowed out and replaced by financialization.  The rich got richer and we all got poorer--and that was the result of MEN at the top, not Women.  Thanks a lot, Ronnie Raygun (zap)!  But honestly, that's karma, fellas.  So it is no small wonder why so many Women are now choosing to "go it alone" in that regard.  And while it's true that increasing female empowerment has also undoubtedly contributed to the relative redundancy of males, as men are no longer being artificially propped up quite the way they once were, that is actually a GOOD thing that we should be celebrating.  Patriarchy is a fundamentally evil and thoroughly corrupt system, and the sooner it ends, the better.  And it is currently self-destructing as we speak, and has been for about half a century now.  As Stephanie Coontz (author of The Way We Never Were and Marriage: A History) has noted, the patriarchal nuclear family model of the 1950s and earlier inherently required a ludicrous amount of violence and coercion to prop it up and keep the "troops" (i.e. women and children) in line.  And when that violence and coercion is reduced or removed, the whole proverbial house of cards inevitably collapses sooner or later.  So good riddance, let's never go back!

Marriage is, after all, a fundamentally patriarchal institution.  At least the monogamous, heterosexual variety that the conservatives just luuurrrrve to idealize, that is.  That's not to say that marriage can't be redefined and repurposed for a Matriarchal society--indeed it has been redefined and repurposed many, many times throughout history--but the outdated idea that everybody must get married and/or have children (or that doing so is the sine qua non of "real adulthood") needs to end yesterday.  Don't get me wrong, I am NOT anti-marriage.  But we as a society nonetheless need to become more tolerant of a wide variety of lifestyles and family types, and reject the obsolete ideas of compulsory heterosexuality and/or marriage.

And soon Women will be taking over, as they have already crossed the Rubicon in that regard.  Since the 1970s, Women have been going "two steps forward, and one step back", while men have been going "one step forward, and two steps back".  The song "Not Meant to Be" by Theory of a Deadman comes to mind.  Honestly, the inevitable death of patriarchy is really quite painless.  It's fighting to keep it alive that is causing so much pain for both Women and men.  And when Women finally do take over, they will remember exactly how they were treated, so it really behooves us fellas to clean up our act yesterday.  So let's make the right choice.

The Drone Problem, Part Deux

Uh oh.  Looks like men are becoming redundant even more quickly than I had predicted, according to the latest predictions about technological unemployment.  According to the White House, who keep in mind would typically want to paint a rosier picture than is actually the case, if you make less than $20/hour today, there is an 83% chance that robotics/automation will eventually take your job.  And if you make between $20-40/hour, there is a roughly 31% chance that you will lose your job to technology in the future, which drops to negligible levels for those making over $40/hour.   And whether enough new jobs will be created in the meantime to offset such job losses still remains to be seen.

Of course, those figures are for people of both genders.  But there is good reason to believe that things will be significantly worse for men in that regard, since Women are leaving men in the dust in terms of educational attainment and are thus more likely to get the best jobs of the future.  That is especially true for higher-paying and higher-skilled jobs, but also true for any jobs that can't be outsourced or automated and don't require much brute muscle power.  And as the general pace of life continues to accelerate, more and more multitasking (which men aren't exactly known for) and speed will be required in nearly all jobs.  Thus if technology doesn't take your job, Women eventually will, fellas.  And when the next big economic crash happens, it will likely be you who needs to be rescued by the better half of humanity.

So how does knowing that make you feel, fellas?  If your answer is "like I want to worship Women even more, and help them take over", you're basically golden.  Otherwise, now is the time to do some serious soul-searching, because in the not-too-distant future (sooner than you think) there will be "no country for burly men".  And remember, as the saying goes, "don't be a fool, stay in school"--even if that is no longer a guarantee of anything anymore.  Failing that, I suppose you can always go join the circus, lol.

The Drone Problem

No, not that drone problem (i.e. the use of unmanned airplanes in today's warfare).  The other drone problem, namely, what to do with all of the unemployed or underemployed men of the future?

I recently posted an article about the coming crash of 2016, and how men would likely be hit so hard by it that they will never fully recover, and will be begging Women for a bailout (and will thus surrender sooner than otherwise).  Even if there is no crash in 2016, the long-term trends are clear enough as evident in even the most cursory look at the statistics.  We can all see the writing on the wall.  Women are rising, while men are falling.  In fact, women have already crossed the Rubicon in terms of education and are well on their way to becoming the richer gender, meanwhile us fellas are falling away and falling apart.  We are being gradually replaced by both women (for higher-skilled jobs) as well as robots/machines/AI (for less-skilled jobs), our wages have been falling, our once-great labor unions have been torpedoed by the powerful men at the top who threw the bottom 80-90% of us under the bus, and we are thus are becoming increasingly redundant.

So what should be done with all of the redundant drone males after Women finally take over?  Ultimately, it will be up to the Women of the future, of course, but now is the time to start discussing the best course of action to take in both the near- and long-term.  Currently, we are witnessing the death of an obsolete system, one that has been kept on life support for many years now, and sooner or later we will have to pull the plug on it.  Continuing to prop up that woefully moribund system in the hopes of propping up men is clearly not a sustainable long-term solution.  And while men are slowly going extinct due to deterioration of the Y-chromosome, that will take thousands of years to occur.  So what to do from now until then?

While I can immediately think of several unethical solutions to the drone problem (which I will not repeat here), the challenge is to come up with an ethical-yet-effective solution.  My theory is still a work in progress, but what I have so far is as follows.  We should adopt as much of the progressive libertarian TSAP platform as possible, or at least the following measures.  First, a Universal Basic Income Guarantee for all is an idea that is LONG overdue.  We also need to pass the Humphrey-Hawkins Full Employment Act, as well as raise the minimum wage.  And as for those drones who would theoretically get priced out of the job market, well they can go join the circus.  Free the animals and replace them with men--and I am only half-joking about that one.  (We will need to have plenty of "bread and circuses" in the future to keep the drones occupied while they party their way into extinction.)  Additionally, we need to invest more in both infrastructure and education, and that would create many jobs.  But ultimately, there will be a lot fewer jobs in the future, and we need to be prepared for that.  As the late, great Buckminster Fuller famously said in 1970:

We should do away with the absolutely specious notion that everybody has to earn a living. It is a fact today that one in ten thousand of us can make a technological breakthrough capable of supporting all the rest. The youth of today are absolutely right in recognizing this nonsense of earning a living. We keep inventing jobs because of this false idea that everybody has to be employed at some kind of drudgery because, according to Malthusian Darwinian theory he must justify his right to exist. So we have inspectors of inspectors and people making instruments for inspectors to inspect inspectors. The true business of people should be to go back to school and think about whatever it was they were thinking about before somebody came along and told them they had to earn a living.

And keep in mind that he was also a huge advocate of Women taking over the world as well.  He also noted that there are enough resources in the world for everyone to live like a millionaire, but that those resources are being hoarded and wasted by the oligarchs.  And when Women do take over, they will likely reject the outdated notion of scarcity and create a new paradigm of abundance for all.  Which is especially good for the drone problem since there are two scenarios in which men become especially dangerous creatures:  1) when they have too much power relative to Women, and 2) when they are desperate for money--ever see the movie Fargo, for example?  Both scenarios occur all too often under patriarchy, and and both issues would be effectively solved by Matriarchy, that we may all be free to enjoy mutual benefit and protection.  What better time than now?

Will the Coming Crash of 2016 Accelerate the Transition to Matriarchy?

Recently, I posted an article on the True Spirit of America blog titled, "Is the Crash of 2016 Upon Us?".  In it, I outlined the various reasons why I predict that author Thom Hartmann was probably right in that there will be another financial crisis and stock market crash in 2016, perhaps even one that that will make 2008 and even 1929 look like a walk in the park.  Yes I know, I could in fact be wrong.  But recent events are making it look increasingly likely every day.

So what does that have to do with Matriarchy and the inevitable transition in that direction?  Turns out, a lot in fact.  Basically, in order for women to finally reclaim their rightful position as the new leaders of the free world, men need to surrender to them.  And most men will not surrender until they truly hit rock bottom.  It's just our nature that way.   Of course, even with the most cursory look at the statistics (and an open mind), we can all see the writing on the wall.  Women are rising, while men are falling.  In fact, women have already crossed the Rubicon in terms of education and are well on their way to becoming the richer gender, meanwhile us fellas are falling away and falling apart.  We are being gradually replaced by both women (for higher-skilled jobs) as well as robots/machines/AI (for less-skilled jobs), our wages have been falling, our once-great labor unions have been busted by the powerful men at the top who threw the bottom 80-90% of us under the bus, and we are thus are becoming increasingly redundant.  And the past two recessions, especially 2008-2009, have basically been dubbed "mancessions", in which men got hit significantly harder than women in terms of un(der)employment (excluding of course the "austerity" government budget cuts that happened in 2010-2013, that hurt women more than men).  We must note, and it bears repeating, that this is NOT the fault of women, but rather the result of our very own karma.

Thus, if the next crash is like 2008 or worse, I predict that men will likely be collectively hit so hard that they will never fully recover.   We still haven't fully recovered from the last one, so this time would likely be the ultimate death blow for us.  Sooner or later, it is only a matter of time before men will be begging women for a bailout.  And when that happens, women would then be in the power position.  Not right away, but we can see how this could accelerate the transition.

So fellas, it is time to do some serious soul-searching.  If you have not yet renounced the demonic patriarchy in all of its forms, now is the time to do it.  God willing, we will soon need women to rescue us.  Because let's face it, we have dug our own graves and will be in over our heads in no time.  It will happen sooner than you think.  And when women finally do take over, they will remember exactly how they were treated, so it really behooves us fellas to clean up our act yesterday.  

How To Really Defeat ISIL For Good

The USA and coalition forces have been bombing Daesh/ISIL (which we prefer to call them so as not to inadvertently profane the name of the Goddess) for over a year now, 17 months to be exact.  And Russia has been bombing them for nearly three months now.   And yet they still seem to be spreading, even though they are clearly on the losing side in the long run.   After the first few weeks of bombing in August/September 2014, the fight basically became a stalemate which lasted until Russia started their airstrikes in Syria, tipping the balance against Daesh once more.

Now the hawks such as Donald Chump are, unsurprisingly, calling for an escalation of this war.   Clearly, we are already fighting fire with gasoline, and those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.  In fact, it was our own meddling and warmongering that caused Daesh to become a problem in the first place!  But here is a better idea--let's NOT give Daesh the "holy war" they so desperately want.  In fact, Tom Englehardt (Tom Dispatch) and Peter van Buren have the best idea of all--quick withdrawal, after getting them where it really hurts by taking out their OIL.  Such targets--wellheads and oil trucks--are not at all hard to find, and are fairly easy to take out from the air.  And put diplomatic and economic pressure on Turkey and other so-called "allies" to stem the flow of Daesh oil as well.  Because oil is their primary source of funding, and removing that will cause them to quickly collapse of their own weight, and when they are seen as a failure then few would want to join them.  And once we take it out, then GTFO and let Daesh fall on their own sword.

I and the TSAP agree with that idea, and we would also like to add to that.  Before withdrawing, we should give every *woman* over there an AK-47 and tell them to take over their country and mow down anyone who stands in their way. Let Allah sort it out. Problem solved. But of course, the mostly-male powers that be would not be too keen on that idea. After all, they wouldn't want women in THIS country getting any ideas, now would they?  (Of course, I believe that women must take over the world in order to save it, so that wouldn't really be a bad idea)

Honestly, it is certainly a better idea than arming questionable male "rebels" who end up turning traitor.  VIVE LA FEMME! 

Why I Am Feeling the BERN in 2016

It's 2016, and Election Day will be right around the corner.  And the True Spirit of America Party will be unequivocally endorsing Bernie Sanders for President.  On essentially all of the issues, his platform is the one that is closest to ours among all the candidates that have a chance this year. 

As much as I want a woman to be President yesterday, which is LONG overdue, the TSAP will not be endorsing Hillary since we believe that she is simply not progressive enough for us or for the nation.  Granted, she is FAR better than literally any Rethuglican candidate out there (puke!), and I would much rather vote for her instead of any of them, but I still feel that Bernie is the better choice overall this time around.  As Pat Ravasio of Buckyworld has noted, his preferred paradigm is far more feminine than Hillary's, ironically.  And unfortunately Elizabeth Warren is not going to be running this year, nor is the woman who we feel would really be the ideal President, Marianne Williamson.  Now SHE would be great, and I believe electing her would really accelerate the transition to Matriarchal utopia by about a decade or two ahead of time.  Bernie is the next best thing, and in fact Marianne herself is endorsing him as well.  So yes, I am FEELING THE BERN!!!

What Is This All About, Anyway?

Hello, everyone!  I am Ajax the Great, and I am and have been the party leader and founder of the True Spirit of America Party since 2009.  The TSAP is a progressive libertarian third party that has evolved dramatically over the past several years. 

In the spring of 2014, five years after founding the TSAP and shortly after my 30th birthday, I had somewhat of a spiritual awakening.  After doing a bit of debating in the comments section of an AlterNet article about gender, a woman there introduced to me a book called The Natural Superiority of Women, written by Ashley Montagu in 1953 and updated several times since then.  After reading it online via Google Books, as fate would have it I also noticed something in the Google results after Googling the title of that book.  It was a link to the distinguished Guru Rasa von Werder's main website, Woman Thou Art God, which cited this book rather heavily.  After reading that site extensively, as well as some of Guru Rasa's other sites and her links to others such as the great author and pundit William Bond, I was basically hooked on the idea of Matriarchy from then onward.  After some more study I found that there were indeed others who essentially felt the same way, including the late great Buckminster Fuller and a woman who actually met him in 1982 and is carrying on his legacy, Pat Ravasio.  And reading Paul Levy's book Dispelling Wetiko: Breaking the Curse of Evil also helped it all click together in my mind, as did Jack D. Forbes' book Columbus and Other Cannibals.  Riane Eisler's work also dovetailed nicely with such ideas.

I then realized that it ain't gonna be us fellas who save the world.  We paved paradise and put up a parking lot, we created a desert and called it "peace".  We devoured and suffocated our own empire, and our proverbial 15 minutes of fame (which lasted about 7000 years or so) is almost up.  The agony of regret.  Only Women would really be able to save the world, and to do so they must take over.  Yesterday.  The futurists are virtually unanimous about this:  the future belongs to Women.  And when they take over, I believe that they will not only save the world, but will re-create paradise on Earth.  Reverse-engineering the Garden of Eden, essentially--and men will benefit from it as well.  After all, patriarchy hurts men as well, as it is an evil and thoroughly corrupt system that has a rather nasty habit of backfiring.  And note that Matriarchy, properly defined, is NOT merely the mirror image of patriarchy, but rather is a fundamentally different paradigm altogether.  Thus, I effectively joined the Matriarchy movement personally in 2014 and the TSAP officially joined in early 2016.   I am oversimplifying things a bit but that's basically how my first spiritual awakening occurred, as well as further awakenings from 2015 to the present day.  I have also had the pleasure of meeting and talking with both Guru Rasa and William Bond on Facebook as well since late 2015.

Thus, in early 2016, I decided to create this spinoff blog, The Chalice and the Flame.   The name comes from the title of Riane Eisler's 1988 book The Chalice and the Blade, as well as the flaming chalice symbol of Unitarian Universalism, in addition to the Cheap Trick's famous 1988 power ballad, "The Flame".  The Chalice is a classic feminine symbol while the Flame is a classic masculine symbol, and while the Blade is also a masculine symbol, it represents death and destruction (i.e. toxic masculinity) rather than the kind of healthy masculinity that we should be promoting instead.  And if you pay attention, the lyrics of "The Flame" basically fit our movement perfectly.  Ladies, you were the first, and you'll be the last--to rule the world, that is.  All aboard the Eden Express!
